We are starting a petting zoo!!! HA HA

Shaylynn is now old enough for 4-H so why not start a petting zoo now!! We got baby calves last night and they are quite excited. I'm sure after a few days of feeding they will think a little differently. Daren didn't handle the smell in the trailer very well so Shaylynn helped Dad do all the feeding. This morning was there first try at the bottle. I'm thinking we should have leased the mommies for a few days!:)

Shaylynn really wants to do horse but that one we are going to ease into a little slower. Dustin thinks we are also going to get into the swine business. Shaylynn can still take Market Swine and they say that is pretty simple.

We started on Sewing for Fun. She is really interested in Photography also. I suppose we will trying a little cooking too!

Girl Scout Cookies Anyone?

Shaylynn has become a Girl Scout Brownie this year and throughly enjoys it! The meet twice a month and do different little activities. She has also had the opportunity to do extra things that the whole area girl scouts can participate in. They went to Sidney this fall at the beauty college and got their hair and nails done for "Fancy Nancy". She is very excited to do some things this summer that have to do with Girl Scouts. The cookies were one of her favorite things to do. She sold 254 cookies which made her top sales in Brownies. I asked her after all the sorting of cookies what she was going to sell next year and she said "oh, 300" I guess all that sorting didn't bother her. I helped sort all the Hemingford cookies which was 4000 boxes!!!!

Wrestling at Gordon-Rushville

Daren placed first and I was VERY proud of his wrestling! In the Gordon/Rushville meet he had only 2 in his group! So far a wonderful experience for him! I hope he keeps up his positive attitude because it is my ultimately favorite sport to watch!!!

I can't seem to get the videos loaded or the pictures off my phone but I will keep trying as I'd like one and all to see how awesome he is doing!

It's A Start!

So many things happen in our lives that I want to pass on to my distant family and anyone else that really wants to know what's going on! As all of us are involved in this in that we have great things to share with you all.
Shaylynn enjoys Girl Scouts and Skip 'n Cats, while Daren is now in Federation Wrestling! Hopefully I will be sharing videos and pictures alike! I am going to give it a whirl! Thank you Sara for the inspiration from your own blog!!!!:)
